A shell scheme booth is a pre-built stand structure supplied by the exhibition organiser. You are allocated a numbered space within a row of identical booths, and the organiser erects the shell: the dividing walls, a name board across the front, and floor covering. What you do inside and across those walls is what separates one booth from the twenty others in the same aisle.
The alternative is space only, sometimes called raw space. There you receive bare floor and nothing else, and everything above it has to be designed, fabricated, transported and installed.
